How We Met
What we told our parents when we first met: We met in college through mutual friends! (Which wasn't false, we were friends on social media about a month before we met).
How we ACTUALLY met: Alex super-liked Dayna on Tinder, and she reciprocated the match. It was a summer fling turned life long love affair. Thanks, online dating!
How We Knew They Were The One
Dayna: "Alex and I attended our first pride festival together in June of 2017. It was a long but fun day that we really enjoyed, but I was exhausted afterward. I had worn the world's worst shoes and was hobbling to the Geo Metro. He held my hand, helped me out of my shoes, and continued to make sure I was okay. He also asked me if food would make it better, which it always does. There was something about how kind and caring he was, even through we had only been hanging out for a few weeks that told me I was falling for him.
We didn't say it for a few weeks after though, when he went away to New York for an internship. But he said it first. Don't let him tell you otherwise."
Alex: “I knew she was the one when I was hanging with a mutual friend of ours and I couldn’t stop talking about her. She never left my mind and the rest is history”
The Proposal...s
How Alex proposed: On Christmas Eve at Community of Hope Church before the Christmas Eve service. It was in front of lots of their friends and family members. Dayna was warned MULTIPLE times to get her nails done after telling Alex she needed her nails done for her proposal.
She didn't listen.
How Dayna proposed: In the junior suite in Antigua during a week long trip courtesy of Dayna's appearance on $100,000 Pyramid. She didn't want Alex to be without an engagement ring and wanted him to have his special moment.
What's Next For Us
Dayna: "After we're married, I'm just excited to spend the rest of my life with my best friend. We have so many ambitions, so many trips, and experiences we want to share, and I can't wait to do all of those things with Alex. “
Alex: "After the wedding, I’m excited to have someone to file my taxes with and officially call her ‘MY WIFE’. I look forward to having a life long travel companion and best friend!
